Hello everyone,
Students from University of British Columbia, Simon Fraser University, University of Saskatchewan, and
Memorial University of Newfoundland have banded together to be Radically Honest about their faith and promote greater understanding between members of our diverse community. From MSA-MUN, we are inviting you to the United Islam Awareness Week, the biggest event of the year from Mar-8 to Mar-
12 (See poster and scan QR code for event details).
Our aim is to promote united Islamic outreach and knowledge at Memorial University of Newfoundland
along with other institutions and communities at large in Canada. The theme is “Radical Islamic Honesty,” and is based on the idea that Islamic honesty is radical in its ability to positively change the
perspective of Islam, its Culture and History. We aim to increase awareness in these aspects of Islam.
This year, we are inviting five guest speakers who have immense experience of influencing their
community at a large scale.
Keeping with the spirit of a united Islamic community working to improve its outlook and resources, we are inviting people of all faiths to join us for the Event! Also, you can win up to $100 if you register free for the raffle by March 8th .
Our distinctive speakers include-
Abdullah Al-Andalusi: an international speaker, thinker, and intellectual activist.
Dr. Abdullah Hakim Quick: an American Canadian Imam and travelling lecturer.
Shaykh Dawud Walid: He is the Executive Director of the Michigan chapter of the Council on
American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-MI).
Shaykh Mohamed Yaffa: Affiliated with and Experienced in Diversity and Inclusion, Facilitation,
