Greetings my fellows,

My name is Fatima Mehdi and I am a graduate student at Memorial University Newfoundland.

I am highly honored and delighted to serve as the Executive Director of Campus Life at GSU for the year 2023-2024.  During my work period, my primary objective is to organize a series of events that will help you in both your career development and recreational activities. My intention is to ensure that each student at our university feels at home and comfortable on our campus.  I understand that graduate school can be a challenging time, but I would bring opportunities to grow professionally and have fun during your time at the university. I believe that a healthy and well-rounded campus life is essential to not only academic success but also personal growth and development.

I am planning to arrange a plethora of programs and events for the upcoming year, and I encourage you all to take advantage of them. From sports tournaments to social clubs, from volunteering opportunities to academic support groups with outdoor trips and movie nights, I will have something for everyone. Our campus is a diverse community, and I believe that our programs would reflect this diversity.

At Campus Life, the GSU’s goal will be to create an inclusive community where every graduate student feels welcome and supported. I believe that by offering a range of events and activities, we can help you achieve your academic, professional, and personal goals.
